So in the last Blizzcon, they finally blabbered shit about the long-waited movie. There are some points that can ruin the whole thing. They’re still my expectations though:
1. The movie is gonna be produced by Legendart Pictures, the same company that produced 300. What’s bad about that? I just thought it would be better to have the movie being pure animation like those cool ones in WC3. I actually never thought it might be real acting.
2. There’s not telling what story they’re making the movie based on. I mean just narrating Arthas’ story would be nice despite lack of the surprise element. But now there’s a chance that they select some gay story like the “Moonwell trilogy” or w.e it’s called. If you’re not familiar with that, it’s the manga Blizzard has been releasing. It’s about some mage and her drake trying to save something bla bla. A gay warcraft movie story would trigger suicidal thoughts in my brain.
3. Let’s hope there’ll be some intimate elvish parts in the movie. Illidan in bed-action would be nice!
4. If Orcs are bad or get beaten up in the movie I’m gonna booby trap Blizzard CEO wife’s ass
5. I got to watch few clips from the Blizcon. That was one big thingy idd. The most assuring sentence that was said about the movie was that they aknowledge the fact that there are approximately 9 million players of WoW not to mention people who are still playing WC3 and TFT. They know that they’re ethically responsible in front of these people to transfer the game world in the same theme and style that people loved. Let’s hope they stick to their words or God knows we’re gonna stick what-words-can’t-describe in their asses.
Here’s something about it:
“IRVINE, Calif. — May 9, 2006 — Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. and Legendary Pictures today announced that they have entered into an agreement to develop a live-action film based on Blizzard Entertainment®‘s award-winning Warcraft® universe. Based on the terms of the agreement, Legendary Pictures has acquired the movie rights for the best-selling game universe, and both companies are now focused on translating the high-quality Warcraft entertainment experience to the big screen.
“We searched for a very long time to find the right studio for developing a movie based on one of our game universes,” said Paul Sams, chief operating officer of Blizzard Entertainment. “Many companies approached us in the past, but it wasn’t until we met with Legendary Pictures that we felt we’d found the perfect partner. They clearly share our high standards for creative development, and because they understand the vision that we’ve always strived for with our Warcraft games, we feel there isn’t a better studio out there for bringing the Warcraft story to film.”
“One of our goals at Legendary Pictures has been to bring heroic stories to life in groundbreaking ways, and it’s inspiring to work with a company such as Blizzard that takes that approach with each of its products,” stated Legendary Pictures chairman and CEO Thomas Tull. “The Warcraft universe is possessed of such a rich mythology and, as such, serves as an ideal platform as we go about translating that universe into what we intend to be a major event film.”
Blizzard’s Warcraft games have developed a loyal following since the series debuted in 1994. Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness™, released in 1995, won multiple Game of the Year awards and is still considered one of the best games ever made, and Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos™ broke multiple sales records when it launched in 2002. World of Warcraft®, Blizzard’s latest entry in the critically acclaimed franchise, has quickly become one of the world’s most popular online games, with more than 6 million paying customers worldwide.
“From our first Warcraft game to our latest novels, our intention has always been to develop a rich fantasy universe that could support stories and products in many forms,” stated Chris Metzen, Blizzard Entertainment’s vice president of creative development. “In addition to being a truly rewarding experience for us, the creation of this motion picture also feels like a natural next step for the Warcraft universe.”
“It’s not always the case that interactive game properties lend themselves to proper adaptation to film,” said Jon Jashni, Legendary Pictures’ chief creative officer. “We are intending to approach this as we would the adaptation of a best-selling novel: respect the essence of all that it is but also build upon that fertile base while translating it into a new medium.”
Further details about the upcoming Warcraft movie, including director, cast, and targeted release date, will be revealed in the months ahead.

Btw, I sent you the edited file that you requested to add the quotes I want to the quotes thingy. I even tried to edit the plug-in to see if there’s some obvious place to squeeze them in but obviously I was mistaken. This is just a trial, I will get the real shit when I’m free.
For now, enjoy the “Bloodelf Female” quotes brought to you by Elune!
and btw, about the quotes. I always see what seems to be a copy of them flickering from time to time right above them. Is that something wrong with the explorer?
And I’ll make a new poll to see what other sitcoms/shows people want to be included in the quotes system. Erm, too bad you have to choose one and see what has been voted for after that. Anyways, if you want something included and no one voted for it just let me know via comments, suggestions are accepted 🙂
I read this news before somewhere,
The thing that bothered me and made me less enthusiastic that it won’t be animation, even if it was lotr kind of movies, i 100% prefer war3 in between movies animation on it
about the story, i recall reading that it was NOT BASED on the game story in anyway, and only the setting is taken from the game, so basically the races and that’s it. these two facts bothered me.
it would be nice if they made a story from the game, but the sequel. like what happened after frozen throne? this way, it won’t ruin the element of surprise and in the same time it will make WOW, TFT and ROC players emotionally attached to the movie.
Players of WoW actually know what happens after TFT. But anyways, I wouldn’t mind seeing WC3 +TFT + WoW stories in the movie. At least that way we know it’s a good story.
female blood added, bs get a better pic
and REMEBER
DONT EVEN TOUCH THE CODE
ill get ur ball$ for that
man so we dont get to see arthas/ rexxar in the movie ! that sux!!!!
and yeah seriously if they show the orcs as a mindless horde who will eventually lose the battle i will personnaly KILL elune!
but if it is the same company that made 300 i think they will direct it in a way to make it more animation-like even though its realy acting.
and what better than illidan getting laid is prince kael having an orgy with his bloodelfs sweet females 😀 .
P.S: damn being a warcraft fan has its perks! my friend engraved dont like the warcraft world so he wont get to enjoy the movie!
Severus, I’ve been going through the quotes originally provided by the add-on. Most of them suck. I’ll send you the filtered copy of them (filtered being my filteration :D)
and what’s wrong with the pic? Why aren’t you showing it anyway?
its showing
